Department of Physics

The department is a leader in training physicists in this country. Its activities range from servicing education and research in solar energy, materials Sciences, radiation physics and many other practical related programmes. It boasts of newly refurbished laboratories under the Millennium Sciences Initiative programme.

The department offers courses in Physics leading to award of BSc., BSc. Education, MSc. and PhD degrees. In alignment with new advances in Physics, new course units have been designed as electivesat the postgraduate level. The department also services students from BSc. in Petroleum Geosciences and Production programme and the College of Education and Extension Studies.
